We’re proud to announce that Christopher Welsh of Welsh & Welsh PC, LLO will be attending and speaking at the 30th Annual Southern Trial Lawyers Association (STLA) Conference which will be held this weekend, February 7-11, in New Orleans. This year’s conference is a special one– it’s the organization’s 30th anniversary. The event will also take place during Mardi Gras weekend.

Multiple parties, galas, and seminars will be held during the weekend event. This year’s conference theme is “Leading a successful plaintiff’s practice: From the opening of your office until you collect a judgment post-trial.” The seminars held will be worth CLE credits. 9 CLE hours are anticipated.

Chris Welsh is scheduled to speak on Thursday, February 8 at 11:15 AM. His panel is called “Work/Life Balance in Your Law Practice” and will go over some vital ways lawyers and legal professionals can learn to balance practicing law, family life, personal goals, professional growth, and personal growth. The act of balancing a professional life and personal life is often a challenge for legal professionals, but with the right outlook and goal/task division, we can all learn to achieve a better balance and get more out of life.

This year, the Southern Trial Lawyers Association will be celebrating Jody’s Campbell’s retirement and the introduction of the group’s new Executive Director, Jeanie Hinkle. Among this year’s events are the War Horse Banquet, an evening in the Balcony Room at Galatoire’s, the 12th annual Crawfish Boil, and more.

The Southern Trial Lawyers Association (STLA) promotes fellowship, leadership, learning, and networking among trial lawyers throughout the 13 southern states– Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.
